This is a paperback story about the growth and adventures of the young Emperor Kuzko as he tries to cope with being turned into a llama. It's a very good story, especially since it's one of only a few Disney films where nobody gets killed in the course of the story. My complaint with the book is that The Emperor's New Groove, more than any other Disney film, relies heavily on pace, humor, and mood to sustain interest; the plot itself is really only a window-dressing for the back-and-forth character interactions, most of which are lost in the transition. Oh, and the artwork is beautiful.
